Follow the FamilyLife cycling adventure

Team London & the South

Nineteen people – mums, dads and some teens – are setting off from Canterbury on 24 August on their bicycles in full Lycra gear. Most are pedalling to York and a few crazy people are going to get even more sore bottoms by cycling all the way to Newcastle!

Why?

The FamilyLife cycling team are trying to raise £35,000 towards Toucan – the couple app, which helps strengthen relationships. (Read more on what the money is for…)

You might like to know that every cyclist is paying their own way so that any donations you make go towards the cause.

The team is also hoping for a little adventure. In previous cycling challenges riders have been nibbled by ponies; arrived at a bunkhouse with no bedding; herded escaping cows and encountered melting Tarmac as well as torrential rain. And those are only a few of the escapades!

You can follow all the adventures by receiving the daily blog , which promises to be a mixture of photos, news and hilarity. We’ll be joined this year by special guest blogger Suki the Labrador, who will bring her unique canine perspective on all the antics.

There’s more about the route, our brilliant sponsors and the blog at: https://familylifeuk.org/c2y/

If you’re on social media then please cheer us on: 24-30 August.
