#L2P2016 – Fancy a cycling challenge?

L2P2016 articleThe FamilyLife team are looking for people who are interested in joining them for a 235 mile adventure AND helping raise funds to help strengthen families in the UK. We are organising a cycling challenge that will take riders from London to Paris on 24-29 August 2016. We are also looking from some support crew to drive vehicles, look after the riders and to do social media / blog. We plan on having some fun too – fancy joining us?

The route we’ve chosen will take us from central London, across the Downs to Newhaven where we catch a ferry to Dieppe. From there we follow the ‘Avenue Verte’ to Paris, which takes in lovely unspoiled villages, Chateaux and the chance to stop for coffee & croissants …a definite if you are in Christine’s group! We plan on cycling approximately 50 miles a day which is within the reach of most people (and teenagers!) given a little training.

FamilyLife and friends cycled over 1,000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats in 2013, raising over £38,000. Those funds are being used to develop a unique online resource to bring very practical relationship tools to couples, helping them to strengthen their relationships and supporting marriage. The proceeds of L2P2016 will also go towards this exciting and innovative project.

You’ll be able to follow the action on a blog #L2P2016 …we’ll let you know when and where.
